Three Line Thursday
What can you say, convey, or express in only three lines? Can you paint a visual picture with only words? Tell an entire story that begs to be read?
#TLT Use the hashtags and share on social! #comelaydownink
Use your imagination. Poetry, Haiku, Senryū, Free Verse, Prose, and Flash are all welcome. (Please do not graphically use excessive profanity or overtly disturbing mental images. Let’s use common sense.)
One word per line—fine. Ten words per line (max) works too. It counts as long as it fits in the comment box in three-line format. Simple, right?

pink haze of early morning
augers a sailor’s warning
as the sleeping city wakes.
a little jagged,
the skyline
of our encounters
Oooooooooooh, Firdaus! Love the sense of jagged encounters.
excellent
I picture myself, an indistinct figure,
on someone’s
horizon.

Simple but profound. I like how the lines shrink, gives the feeling of the narrator’s narrowing significance.
I found myself thinking “Keep those windows closed!” at the mention of the demons, Firdaus! But then the gorgeous image of them blushing pinkly at dawn. Love it.
I cling to colours, serenity of sky blue,
A scythe to shred clouds, and at night
I melt into its dimness.
I love your image of the scythe shredding clouds, Misky.
A scythe to shred clouds… love that
The skyline turns pink
Buildings and people surround
Yet alone I be

Great last line, Emma.
confined to window frames
these toothed demons
gradually pink at dawn
