presents:
The creative world can be filled with rejection. As writers, we sometimes need a breather or external motivation to keep going. 100 Word Wednesday is our response to keep writers motivated—a way to create, connect, and get your writing out there. Our goal is to publish more microfiction and bring people in the writing community together. Every published entry will be considered for a Best of The Net nomination.
We noticed fewer journals offering this micro-niche and saw it as an opportunity. We believe all writers, whether emerging or established (or maybe you fall somewhere in between), have something to contribute. We all can benefit from more writing prompts to hone our craft, and feedback is essential.
details
Write something that will move us! Tell an entire story with only 100 words. Share a story that begs to be read and reread!
Read other entries and comment. This will be a positive forum for feedback.
Rules are simple:
- must be exactly 100 Words (not including the title)
- all entries must be submitted as a comment (in the comment section of the weekly post — all comments will be held in moderation for approval. They will be posted once approved.)
- only one entry per week per person
Alternatively, we will also have a form below for 100-Word Story Submissions. These submissions will all be considered for publication online and in our print mag.
You can submit only one story per month via the form. However, you can participate weekly online in addition to one monthly submission.
On the first Wednesday of each month, we will publish 2 featured 100 Word Story Winners (1 from submissions via the form below and 1 entry from the 100 Word Wednesday weekly prompt.)
