presents:
Unquestionably, the creative world is filled with rejection, especially for writers. In order to hone your craft, you need accountability and external motivation. 100 Word Wednesday is our response to keep writers motivated — Specifically, a way to create, connect, and especially get your writing out there.
We aim to publish more microfiction and unite people in the writing community. Also, every published entry is considered for a Best of The Net nomination.
In fact, we noticed fewer journals offering this micro-niche. Therefore, we seized this opportunity to engage more writers. Above all, we believe all writers, whether emerging or established (or somewhere in between), have something to contribute. Overall, writers can benefit from writing prompts to help hone their craft, and feedback is essential.
details
- First, write something that moves us. Tell an entire story with only 100 words. Ultimately, share something that begs to be read and reread!
- Also, log in and read other entries, then comment on others.
- Most importantly, this is a positive forum for feedback.
Rules are simple:
- only one entry per week per person
- entries must be precisely 100 Words (excluding the title)
- all entries must be submitted as a comment to be considered
(on the weekly #100ww blog post — all first-time comments will be held in moderation for approval. They will automatically post once approved.)
Additionally, we have a form below for 100 Words submissions.
Submit only one story each month using the form. However, we encourage you to participate WEEKLY online, in addition to one monthly submission.
Lastly, on the first Wednesday of each month, we publish two 100 Word Story Featured Winners (1 via form entries and 1 from weekly blog prompts.)
Ultimately, all submissions will be considered for publication online and in our print mag. Therefore, if you participate online and via the form, you can increase your chances of publication and award nominations.
