Post your entries in the comment box of the current week's prompt post.
why
We are all about fostering healthy habits of creativity and connections.
What can you say, convey, express in only three lines? Can you paint a visual picture with only words? Tell an entire story that begs to be read? #TLT - May 26
Use your imagination. Poetry, Haiku, SenryÅ«, Free Verse, Prose, Flash all are welcome. (Please no graphic use of excessive profanity or overtly disturbing mental images. Let’s use common sense.)
One word per line, fine. Ten words per line (max), fine. As long as it fits in the comment box in three-line format, it counts. Simple, right?
Read other entries and comment. This will be a positive forum for feedback!

Windows all down, Cobain played so loud
Numbing our faces, drowning out senses
Your summertime playlist you made
oh i am so rusty! i need to delete the word playlist!!😅 aahhh
Love this
Words go round and round in her head
like an out of control turntable, and
only her heart can reach the off switch
These blue eyes mesmerized
by the glossy turntable
my life on playback
Carrie Ann, I am so happy to read you here!!!!
I saw your tweet about this and just had to check it out!
The vinyl lp spins 70s rock,
as I hold a plastic sleeve of twenty Kodachromes
to a bare bulb, a mountain coming to life.
I had but that one. Black. Vinyl. Grooved.
Scratched mid-song. Skip. Repeat. Repeat.
Teddy Bears’ Picnic. I sang every word.
weeping
pooled for years; the memory
breaks the banks
Beyond sad, Petru.
I love this.
the sound of the waves kissing
the shore, between rocks,
the ocean swells, tears fall
Waves kissing the shore. Nice description.
Thank you!
blue hour . . .
some stubborn moments
keep returning
Lovely, Firdaus. Those stubborn moments are sometimes the best to have lived through.
That is true Ewan, thank you!
Notes borne on static and aurora dust—
intermittent, as if from pitted old vinyl.
Our song, never forgotten, swells in my heart.
@feclarkart
Lovely, Frances. I think our hearts with their rhythms were made for music.
Yes! Thanks, Ewan 🙂
This is beautiful!!
That’s lovely.
I like Aurora dust!
I wake up every morning
A song perched on the tip of my tongue
Sometimes melancholy, sometimes joy
Gorgeous, Susan. What sort of day is it without a song to start it off?
I love this image, Susan – a song on the tip of one’s tongue! Fab 🙂
What a beauty! I love ‘a song perched ‘
A good balance, I’d say.
I am so thrilled that Three Line Thursday is back!!! I have missed this wonderful weekly dose of inspiration!!!

six decades of scratches
and a needle grown blunt
but still in my life there is music
