THE MOMENT OF IMPACT
The ski lift at Lion’s Paw Ski Resort creaked and stopped.
Twenty-one-year-old Noah Frost clutched himself as glowing eyes flickered one hundred feet below him.
The cable holding the car Noah’s terrified frame resided within stiffened.
“They are waiting,” Noah thought to himself. “They know the cable is going to snap. They know that my legs and arms will be broken from the fall and that I won’t be able to run. They’re going to tear my flesh from my bone the second I hit the ground.”
The cable snapped.
Noah plummeted beyond the snow.
Trapped, the glowing eyes amplified.
