Alternatively, we also have a New Submission Form for 100-Word Stories. These submissions will all be considered for publication online and in our print mag.

You can submit only one story per month via the form. However, you can participate weekly here on our blog in addition to one monthly submission.

On the first Wednesday of each month, we will publish 2 selected 100 Word Stories (1 from submissions and 1 entry from the 100 Word Wednesday weekly prompt here on the blog.) 

Read other entries and comment. This will be a positive forum for feedback.

  1. Badminton was my father’s favorite sport, so it became mine too. We’d go badminton-hopping, where he taught me different kinds of serves, smashes, and shots. Our connection grew closer with every game. 

    But then life changed our trajectory. He lost the ability to see, making normal movements impossible.

    On his recent birthday, I gifted him a shuttlecock. “Dad, remember this?” I asked, gently placing it in his hand.

    He smiled bitterly, though his eyes couldn’t clearly see. “I remember.”

    In that moment, I realized that our true connection wasn’t in the games we played but in the memories we treasured.
