oops, X: @folkheartpress
No more fake stories
What you wrote might as well have been Greek. I couldn’t understand the plot. ‘Show please,’ I reminded you of what we had learned in the writing class where we met. Me with tattoos on every finger. You with finely manicured nails. I was determined to know the context for your chilling stare, your snarl whenever I smiled.
I teased. ‘You’re a character.” But I meant it. Protagonist, antagonist? Didn’t matter. I partnered with you for feedback. Wanted to meet the mummy tombed behind your brown eyes. But you put on your sunglasses and left me clueless in the dark.
